Perinatal Mental Health for Doulas

Perinatal Mental Health Concerns are the #1 complication of pregnancy. Birth and postpartum doulas working with new and expectant parents play an important role in supporting the wellbeing of the family. In this training, we will learn about the spectrum of perinatal mental health, recognize common signs and symptoms, and discuss how to talk with families about mental health both before and after concerns arise. Additionally, we will cover how to effectively screen and refer, and where to find resources in WA state. This training is designed as an introduction to perinatal mental health and doulas will gain concrete tools to support families.

This training will be online via Zoom with a recording available after for a limited time for those who register and are not able to attend live.

Worth 1.5 Continuing Education Units (CEU) for NAPS certification requirements. $25-45
